This year both Ashtami thithi of Shravana krishna paksha and Rohini nakshatra fall in the evening of 6th September, which is Krishna Jayanthi day. Pooja to Krishna to be done in the evening on 6th Sept. Chandrodaya is at 23:29 on 6th September post which argya is to be given.
It is a full fasting day on 6th Sept. on account of Krishna Jaynthi (nirjala upavasa like Ekadashi). Ashtami thithi is there till 19:38 hours in the evening on 7th September. In Sanskrit and Marathi panchangas, this timing is printed as 19:31 which stands corrected to 19:38 hours. Parane is to be taken after 19:39 hours on 7th Sept. So actually it will be upavasa the whole day of 6th Sept and about three fourths of the day on 7th Sept. Any item kept for naivedya to Lord Krishna on 6th Sept evening, can be consumed during parane or later, but not before parane time.
The above are the prescribed procedures and timings for upavasa and parane. A short odd file with these details in Kannada and Sanskrit is attached herewith. Hope this information helps.
