Your favorite www.uttaradimath.org gets a new look and lot of features.Uttaradi Math has been successfully doing great service to the community for the past 6 years. We have enjoyed bringing to you information about News, Events and Announcements of the Math. Time to time, we have made all efforts to take advantage of the new and improving technologies to get the information about the Math to its devotees. Some of the features that were add like the Satya Pramoda Vaani, Satyatma Vaani are already popular among the visitors of this site. Uttaradi Math was pioneer in introducing the Information Center Blog in Jan 2007, which received great response from visitors worldwide. Wireless technology was used for the first time to transfer messages even from remote villages to get picture updates on the same day within hours of the events. Many devotees also enjoyed the live pravachanas through Skype and Yahoo.

With the passage of time, content management became an issue. Greater user interaction was also a desirable feature. So, we have chosen the best solution on the internet existing today to develop an attractive and efficient portal for the community which gives great power and flexibility at the same time acts as a very simple and efficient communication medium. This is a community site. The community also contributes content to the site. That is in short the concept behind the new Uttaradi Math Web site based on CMS.

The site has been formally launched by Sri 1008 Sri Satyatma Tirtha Swamiji by the click of a button at the Mangala Mahotsava of Sri Ramayana Upanyasa hosted by Rama Seva Mandali yesterday before the presence of over 3000 devotees.

The site is fully operational but lots o information from the old portal needs to be moved to the new location. We will be busy updating the content over the next few weeks. Dharmika Sikshana Shibira
By the order of Sri 1008 Sri Satyatma Tirtha Swamiji of Uttaradi Math Sri Jayateertha Vidyapeetha is organizing a Dharmika Sikshana Shibira - A Summer Camp for Children from
19-4-2008 to 30-4-2008. During this 12 day program Sandhavandane, Deva pooja, Brahma Yagna, Agni Karya, Stotras, Selected Suktas, Yogasana, Mahabharata, Ramayana stories will be taught to the participants.

From this year onwards, a 5 year course is being started. An examination will be held each year and a final examination will be conducted at the end of the stipulated 5 year course. A certificate will be awarded after the completion of the 5 year course to successful participants.

Students can enroll themselves to this five year course. Students wishing to enroll into higher levels are required to attend a test and they should successfully pass the test for previous levels.
Interested students can enroll their names at our office by 15-4-08.

Syllabus for Courses:

1st Year - Pratah stotra, Snana, Sandhyavandane, Stotra, Suktas, Yoga, Panchatantra Kathas, Dasa Sahitya
2nd Year - Sankshipta Deva Pooja Paddhati, Stotras, Suktas, Yoga, Contemplating on the wonderful creation of God - One subject per day, Dasa Sahitya.
3rd Year - Vaisvadeva, Brahma Yagna, Bali Harana, Yoga, Quiz on Dasa Sahitya, Know a Rishi a day.
4th Year - Sumadhva Vijaya (In Q/A format), Mangalashtaka, Ashirvachana Mantras, Madhva Yatigalu, Yogabhyasa, Know a King a day, Dasa Sahitya
5th Year - Sarva Moola Saara(Daily 3 Granthas), Siddhanta Diksha, Essence of popular Upanishads, Yoga, Know a devata a day. Dasa Sahitya.

Camp: Maddur

On  30-03-2008 Samsthana Pooja of Sri Uttaradi Math has been performed by Sri 1008 Sri Satyatma Tirtha Swamiji at Holekere Pranadevara Sannidhana.  The pranadevaru here is said to have been installed by Sripadaraja and Sri Vyasaraja Tirthas. Sri Swamiji performed panchamrita abhisheka with honey etc., reciting Vayustuti in Purashcarana format. More than hundred devotees participated in the event and obtained the blessings of Pranadevaru and Sriman Moola Rama devaru.

Camp:Maddur

On Phalguna Shukla Trayodashi, some devotees who did payovrata for the past twelve days arrived. The udyapana of Payovrata was performed in the Sannidhana of Sri Moola Rama and Sri Digvijaya Rama Devaru.  On Phalguna Shukla Chaturdashi, biksha was performed by brother of Maddur Nagarajachar. In the evening, Sri Swamiji discoursed about the significance of Kamadahana and the story of demoness Holika that occurs in the Phalguna Masa Mahatmya. She is said to be born out of the anger of the devatas. Swamiji also explained the significance of Shivaratri.

A Brihati Sahasra Maha Yaga was performed on the occasion of  Janamadina Mahotsava of Sri Sri 1008 Sri Satyatma Tirtha Swamiji on 11th March’2008 at Maddur. Sri Swamiji performed annadana and dravyadana to hundreds of devotees. Sri Guttalachar and several other scholars participated in the Yaaga.  Students of Sri Jayateertha Vidyapeetha performed Brihati Sahasra Paarayana.
